Hello! I'm back with a card I made yesterday for my lovely Auntie, her best friend sadly passed away :-( I wanted to make a card to say I was thinking of her. I struggle to make cards when there's a reason like this so I've used a few challenges for inspiration. She likes greens and natural type themes so that gave me a starting point. Then I've used this weeks Card Concept challenge photo and also The Paper Players sketch. I stamped the image twice, once in the lighter green and then again with a darker one but wiping off the edges before stamping to give the centre some depth. I hope you like it, thanks for visiting.
Supplies; Stamp - Hero Arts 'Small Solid Flower' Sentiment - WPlus9 'Fresh Cut Florals' Cardstock - Stampin' Up 'Lucky Limeade' Ink - Stampin' Up 'Lucky Limeade' & 'Always Artichoke' Other - wood veneer heart & jute twine
Hi again! What a drizzly bank holiday we're having! Hopefully this card brightens you up a bit. It definitely makes me happy; pink, gold, polka dots, glitter, ooooh! ;-) It's inspired by this months Papertrey Ink Blog Hop.
I've had this gold glitter embossing paste for a little while so when I saw the photo, I embossed a panel with a polka dot stencil and left it to dry. Then this morning I made it up into this card. I think I'll do that more, I get put off using pastes because of the drying time. It looks kind of gaudy in the photos but its lovely in real life :-)
I'm also entering this into the current Seize the Birthday anything goes challenge, this weeks CASe this Sketch and AAA Cards challenge of stencils. This is also using techniques from the Stencilled Online Card Class (see, told you it would take me ages!! Haha!) Enjoy the rest of your Monday!
Supplies; Stencil - That Special Touch 'Large Polka Dots' Sentiment - Papertrey Ink 'Keep it Simple: Birthday' Card stock - Stampin' Up 'Melon Mambo' Ink - Stampin' Up 'Melon Mambo' Other - Vellum, clear embossing powder & Imagination Crafts Sparkle Paste 'Gold Shine'
Morning! Elsie has had a really long nap this morning which was nice of her as it's given me time to make this card! I always try and enter at least one of the Stamp-a-faire challenges but I was busy all day yesterday. I checked them this morning and immediately wanted to join in with the Time after Time challenge, to take an on older card you've made and redo it in today's style. I had a little look back and this monstrosity jumped out at me.
To be fair, I hated it at the time and I think it's long been recycled so it's time it had a reprieve. So here it is! I've used the same stamps and colour scheme as before although with nicer inks, ditched the one layer style (I find it so stressful! Haha!) but kept the sentiment of the card and also the same die to make the frame. This time I popped up the panel, gave the background a tone on tone pattern and die cut out all the flowers. Ahhh, I feel much happier about it :-) Have a lovely day!
Hiya! Happy weekend! I'm back with a card that I don't really like but I've been shuffling the bits around on my desk all week and was getting sick of the sight of them so I followed the Less is More sketch and stuck it all down! Haha! I wanted to stamp a sentiment but the gold embossing powder seemed so dull next to the mirror card so I used some little pearls. I'm not sure where this die is from, it came ready cut with a Dies to Die for order. I did a quick search but didn't want to spend too long Googling 'cat dies'! :-/
The colour scheme is inspired by this weeks CASology cue card of Java, lots of rich coffee colours came into my head and this paper reminds me of the patterns the coffee shops swirl into the foam. I'm adding it into this weeks Papertake challenge of die cuts too. Thanks for looking, have a lovely day!
Supplies; Die - not sure Card stock - Stampin' Up 'Early Espresso' Paper - Basic Grey 'Bittersweet' Other - gold mirror card and gold mini pearls
Hey! I'm back with a card I made for a few challenges; this weeks Case this Sketch, Just Us Girls colour theme of blue, green and a neutral (mine is grey), The Paper Players child's card theme and this weeks Papertake challenge of die cuts. I inked up my little balloons to give a bit of dimension then added lots of Wink of Stellar glitter, hopefully it shows up! :-)
Cardstock - Stampin' Up 'Smoky Slate', 'Pistachio Pudding', 'Soft Sky' & 'Coastal Cabana' Ink - Stampin' Up 'Smoky Slate', 'Pistachio Pudding', 'Soft Sky' & 'Coastal Cabana' Background - Hero Arts 'Tiny Star Background' Sentiment - Penny Black 'Sweet Wishes' Dies - Nestabilities 'Ovals' & MFT 'Party Balloons' Other - Wink of Stellar Glitter Brush Marker 'Clear', silver embossing powder & silver twine
Hello! I hope you're having a good weekend! I'm back after a little break with a birthday card I've made for my step mum-in-law. I used the MFT Lilies die and coloured it with Copics. I originally left the background blank but it looked a bit plain so I stamped a background in VersaMark ink. The lilies are perfect for sympathy cards but I didn't want to this to look like one so I followed this weeks bright colour combo from Colour Throwdown. I also took inspiration from this weeks Cutting Edge challenge card and I'm entering it to Seize the Birthday's Anything Goes challenge too. I hope you like it, thanks for looking!
Supplies; Dies - Lil' Inker 'Stitched Rectangles' & MFT 'Lily' Cardstock - Stampin' Up 'Coastal Cabana' Ink - Stampin' Up 'Smoky Slate' & VersaMark Sentiment - MFT 'Let's Toast' Background - Hero Arts 'Lotus Background' Other - Copics & gems
Evening all! Wow the weekend has gone already! I'm back this evening to show you a card I've made using gorgeous Glitz supplies from Buttons for Brains. I've used some fab paper & a die cut sentiment from the Black & White kit. I've made this card using this weeks Muse card as inspiration for the layout, and turned it into a shaker card using little hearts as my shaky bits! :-) And also another entry into this weeks Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes challenge. I hope you like it, thanks for stopping by!
Hiya! Happy Saturday! I'm back with a quick post to show this card I've made. It's for this weeks CASology challenge of Rainbow, I love using rainbow colours on cards! It's also for this weeks Merry Monday Birthday challenge and the Simon Says challenge of Anything Goes. I love that they have a summer challenge for kids, I can't wait for Elsie to enter them! :-) Jamie's already said he's going to lose his computer desk in my craft room to her! Hee hee! He's right!
I made this card by first stamping out all the candle images then cutting the sentiment straight into it. I then cut the sentiment out 6 more times and layered the letters up. I hope you like it! Have lovely day, I'll be back later this weekend with a card for Buttons for Brains.
