Sparkly pink christmas card

Hi! I'm back with a card I've made using some of the gorgeous new Gilded Winter papers from Buttons for Brains - they're beautiful!! I've also used one of the wood veneers from the Winter Woodland collection, normally not a pairing I'd use but I flipped the veneer over to the plain side, smooshed it in VersaMark ink and covered it with embossing powder to match the papers. Then a generous helping of gems & pearls to make a girlie Christmas wreath :-) All this was inspired by the current Festive Friday challenge photo, and the layout is this weeks CAS(E) this Sketch. I've also used the top line (Sparkle, Patterned Paper & Embossing) of this weeks Merry Monday challenge. Thanks for stopping by :-)

Supplies;
Paper - First Edition 'Gilded Winter'
Cardstock - Stampin' Up 'Pink Pirouette' & Neenah 'Desert Storm'
Wood veneer - Dovecraft 'Winter Woodland wooden shapes'
Sentiment - Simon Says Stamp 'Small Folded Banners'
Embossing powder - Wow! 'Metallic Platinum'
Other - adhesive pearls, pink gems & natural twine

Birthday present card

Hello! I hope you're Sunday is a good one :-) I'm back to share this bright and colourful card. I really wanted to have a good ol' play with some patterned papers so I picked a paper stack and a sketch and made this! The sketch is this weeks My Favourite Things one and I used the presents from the Sweet Birthday Wishes MFT stamp set to do some paper piecing. I added a vellum layer to help simplify things as the papers are pretty busy. I'm also going to enter this into this weeks Simon Says Stamp challenge of Tags, AAA Cards theme of Fussy Cutting, and the current Seize the Birthday, the no toppings Anything Goes theme! Thanks for looking, hope you like it!

Supplies;
Stamps - My Favourite Things 'Sweet Birthday Wishes'
Sentiment - Paper Smooches 'Sentiment Sampler'
Papers - Doodlebug 'Sugar Shoppe'
Cardstock - Stampin' Up 'So Saffron'
Dies - Nestabilities 'Circles' & MFT 'Tag Stax'
Other - ribbon, crochet thread & vellum

Autumn birthday card

Hiya! I'm back to share a card I made last night and I'm so happy with it - pretty rare these days ;-) I really wanted to make an autumn theme card but am on a serious stash spending freeze so I got creative. I stamped this plaid background using this weeks Paper Players colour scheme and it was really fun! Plus it gave me a chance to bust out my gorgeous new Blackberry Bliss card & ink! I stamped the fox in Cajun Craze ink, which I also used to water colour the image. Then I stamped and cut apart the branch image to add as the two strips behind the image on this weeks Freshly Made sketch. This also works for the current Lawn Fawn challenge of Critters. Thanks for stopping by :-)

Supplies;
Inks - Stampin' Up 'Cajun Craze', 'Always Artichoke', 'Blackberry Bliss' & 'Baked Brown Sugar'
Stamps - Lawn Fawn 'Into the Woods'' Mama Elephant 'Basic borders' & Waltzing Mouse 'Off Beat backgrounds'
Sentiment - Papertrey Ink 'Framed Out #6'
Dies - Nestabilities 'Squares'

Water colour Roses

Morning! I hope you're having a lovely Sunday! Before I get on to my card today, I wanted to let you know about a Festive Giveaway over on the Buttons for Brains Facebook page. All you need to do is like us and share the giveaway by weds 17th sept to be in with a chance to win these goodies! Good luck!

*******************
Now onto my card. I'm sure you've all seen Dawn from WPlus9's water colouring videos - if not, why not?! They're amazing! :-) This one especially got my attention so I gave it a go, although I feel a bit mean as I tried the technique with some Papertrey stamps - oops! It gave me a chance to use my very old and very neglected Whisper pens. Not sure they're even sold anymore but they're all I used before Copics came along. They're all still working though so a good investment in my book. It's not a patch on Dawns Peonies but I feel pretty pleased with how it turned out so I think I'll try it with other stamps, colours etc. The challenges I'm entering this into are CASology Three and Just Us Girls Water Colour. I hope you like it, thanks for looking!

Supplies;
Image - Papertrey Ink 'Sweet Life'
Sentiment - Simon Says Stamp 'Summer Garden'
Colouring - Whisper brush pens
Other - purple vellum & Tim Holtz water colour paper

Thinking of You card

Hello! I'm back with a card I made yesterday for my lovely Auntie, her best friend sadly passed away :-( I wanted to make a card to say I was thinking of her. I struggle to make cards when there's a reason like this so I've used a few challenges for inspiration. She likes greens and natural type themes so that gave me a starting point. Then I've used this weeks Card Concept challenge photo and also The Paper Players sketch. I stamped the image twice, once in the lighter green and then again with a darker one but wiping off the edges before stamping to give the centre some depth. I hope you like it, thanks for visiting.

Supplies;
Stamp - Hero Arts 'Small Solid Flower'
Sentiment - WPlus9 'Fresh Cut Florals'
Cardstock - Stampin' Up 'Lucky Limeade'
Ink - Stampin' Up 'Lucky Limeade' & 'Always Artichoke'
Other - wood veneer heart & jute twine

Papertrey August Blog Hop Challenge

Hi again! What a drizzly bank holiday we're having! Hopefully this card brightens you up a bit. It definitely makes me happy; pink, gold, polka dots, glitter, ooooh! ;-) It's inspired by this months Papertrey Ink Blog Hop.

I've had this gold glitter embossing paste for a little while so when I saw the photo, I embossed a panel with a polka dot stencil and left it to dry. Then this morning I made it up into this card. I think I'll do that more, I get put off using pastes because of the drying time. It looks kind of gaudy in the photos but its lovely in real life :-)
I'm also entering this into the current Seize the Birthday anything goes challenge, this weeks CASe this Sketch and AAA Cards challenge of stencils. This is also using techniques from the Stencilled Online Card Class (see, told you it would take me ages!! Haha!) Enjoy the rest of your Monday!

Stencil - That Special Touch 'Large Polka Dots'
Sentiment - Papertrey Ink 'Keep it Simple: Birthday'
Card stock - Stampin' Up 'Melon Mambo'
Ink - Stampin' Up 'Melon Mambo'
